How Do You Use the Sustainability Cards Around Campus?
This punch card allows all sustainability clubs, organizations and events to be integrated together. No matter what sustainable action students take part in that falls under the jurisdiction of the punch card, they can become eligible for awesome sustainability rewards!
This sustainable action could be going to sustainability club meetings, taking part in a campus environmental lecture or seminar, participating in an Easton community cleanup, and more.
To best-utilize the punch card, consider taking a look at any of the following clubs:
LEAP (Lafayette Environmental Awareness and Protection
LaFFCo (Lafayette Food and Farm Cooperative)
SEES (Society of Environmental Engineers and Scientists)
Landis Community Outreach Center
Food Recovery Network
Take Back the Tap
Pard Paper
Participating is any sustainable club or approved activity will receive hole punches!
To know whether or not a club or activity accepts Sustainability Punch Cards, look for the Leaf Symbol somewhere in that club or activity’s advertising. The Leaf Symbol is the same symbol found on the punch cards and is shown again here:
The number of hole punches a student can receive for a certain task is determined by the complexity of level of effort that student has to put into that event. Most clubs and organizations only receive one hole punch for going to each meeting. Other events, such as a community clean-up event for a day, may receive three hole punches. (Note: Some hole punches may require signatures from the event leaders at special events.) An example of an advertisement is shown below and how it indicates the number of hole punches:

Once your punch card is filled, you can redeem your card for awards! The awards list is located on the back of the punch cards, where the student can see how many fully-punched cards it would take to earn certain prizes. All prizes are sustainable and were selected based on student needs, from stainless steel portable drinking straws to solar-powered battery packs! Cards must be fully punched and the correct number of cards must be completed up to the award amount you desire in order to receive the reward. Used cards must be turned in to receive the award as well.
